Romagna is the eastern part of the Emilia-Romagna Region which extends from Bologna to Rimini: it boasts a well-established vine-growing and wine-making tradition, dating back to the Roman Empire.
Consorzio Vini di Romagna gathers wineries from Romagna, promoting this land and its culture on international markets.
50 years after its foundation, Consorzio Vini di Romagna has further enhanced its role of protection and guarantee of quality wine.
The “Romagna” product regulations include two appellations: DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) and DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin), granted to the best certified quality wines in Italy.
Romagna’s DNA features the right traits, character and quality which are conveyed to fine wine lovers with effectiveness and determination:
- Since 2011 grape-harvest, 12 subzones have been identified to better discover the production area of Romagna Sangiovese, our flagship wine.
- Since 2016 the Consorzio represents all the IGP from Romagna.
